This image was taken of the president and a trustee with the Fresno Historical Society to go with a story about the non-profit working to shore up its financial situation. The photo was done in the Kearney Mansion, where the historical society has its offices. I used portable strobe lighting at camera-left with the subjects at the foot of the stairs. I thought it worked out pretty well considering it was budgeted to be a simple portrait. In this case we were able to get a good look at some of the historical details of the famous home while still showing to main players. I would hope that it carried more visual value for the story that a flat portrait of the two.
