Surprise proposal at Fresno Chaffee Zoo

I got a call recently from Josh who wanted me to follow him and his girlfriend Chelsea around Fresno’s Chaffee Zoo and discretely take pictures of the two of them without her noticing. Then at some point he would present a ring to her and propose marriage. “Absolutely!” I thought. It was quite the challenge. I followed them around for a good hour before he popped the question. I had my son Jack with me as a decoy and I’m glad I did. I was sure she saw me a couple of times. But in the end it all worked out. I’m so glad she said yes!
Jane and Kevin: Engaged
We did Jane and Kevin’s engagement session out at and around their home at Harlan Ranch. It really is a beautiful place but you have to go there to really experience it . It’s so quiet, way more so that my home only a few miles away. Every home it seems is meticulously manicured and the neighbors are all so friendly and outgoing. Makes me wonder if I’m in some kind of Twilight Zone altered universe – just kidding!!! No, we really had a nice time roaming the neighborhood and the community center. The final frames from our session were done on the levee just to the north of the ranch. What a beautiful sunset we were treated to. Made for a great ending to a successful engagement photography session. It was about time too since they were getting married the next weekend. I’ll post those pictures on the blog soon.
Gina and Jason engagement
Photography from Gina and Jason’s engagement session out at her family ranch on the Kings River in Kingsburg. We took photos with her horses and in the vineyard, the tractor and around the trees. Good times. Their wedding next October ought to be a blast.
