The Mendota High varsity football team sits in the stands at the school stadium as they watch part of the JV game before getting ready for their game with Orange Cove.

First year head coach Beto Mejia meets with the team hours before their big game with Orange Cove. Mejia has taken a 6-7 team and turned them into an undefeated team in only one year.
The Mendota varsity team performs agility drills and stretches in the dark, illuminated faintly by the stadium lights where the JV team is playing.
